Special Education Teacher Turned Web Developer

Before starting web development I was a behavior instructor/teacher for 7+ years with kids and adults with disabilities. I loved teaching and helping kids, but I wanted to explore a different side to my self and stretch myself in new ways. I always loved creating and building things so web development seemed like it could be a good fit. After exploring it for several months to make sure it was the next step in my journey, I fell in love with it and realized it's a natural fit and a field that I feel passionate about.

Conway's Game of Life

Conway's The game is a grid of squares that ‘live’ or ‘die’ depending on the ‘alive’ or ‘dead’ neighbors the square has. Users click on what squares to turn on/ off and then the game will grow and change based on two simple rules requiring no further input.

Replate

Replate is an application that brings together businesses and volunteers to reduce food waste and help the community. Volunteers sign up for food pickups from businesses that would normally throw out the excess.

Gigapet is an application that promotes healthy eating for kids. Children create avatar pets that they can feed by feeding themselves. This is the marketing website.
